Most weddings we host here have a guest list drawn from those industries, which means the room has already sat through more events than it cares to remember. Loud, theatrical wedding-emcee patter does not work on this audience. It does the opposite.
The hosting style we use here is conversational. Closer to a dinner-party host than a stage announcer. Toasts, family introductions, and segment transitions are written to read more like spoken English than a wedding script. Hindi appears where the older relatives are involved, and the switching is built into the run-sheet.
