Events That
Tell a Story
A glimpse into the stages Divya has hosted across 7+ years.
Nerul birthdays usually mean three generations
in the same room at the same time.
When grandparents, parents, and children are all here, one tone for the whole evening does not work.
Nerul has been settled for long enough that most families have roots here, and a birthday party tends to bring the whole tree together. The Gymkhana, the sector clubhouses, and a few banquets near the station handle most of these events. Divya Shah hosts these the way a family friend would, not the way a stage emcee would.
The script changes through the evening depending on who is on the floor. Marathi when the grandparents are speaking, Hindi for the cousins, English for the younger guests. Divya does not announce the switch, she just moves with the room.
Captured Moments,
Timeless Memories
Events, photography & videography — every moment beautifully documented.
Two birthday parties
Divya has hosted in Nerul
A grandfather’s 75th where the youngest guest was four and the oldest was eighty-two.
Four generations in one hall. The family wanted everyone involved in the cake moment, not just the immediate family.
“She called up each generation separately to share one line for him, ending with the four-year-old great-grandson.”
Divya did the introductions and short tributes in Marathi for the older guests. The grandfather later told the family it was the only time he had been to a birthday where nobody had been left out.
A kids birthday where the parents wanted a real evening for the adults too.
The clubhouse had the kids running around from 6pm. The adults wanted a proper sit-down dinner with the family afterwards.
“Divya ran the kids’ segment cleanly in the first hour and then handed the room back to the adults for the dinner.”
The children were happy because their hour was actually their hour. The adults got to sit down and eat without a magic show in the background.
What she brings to
your family birthday party
A few things that tend to matter most at these events.
Handles a three-generation room
Nerul guest lists usually run from grandkids to grandparents. Divya writes the script so all of them are in the evening, not just the people in their thirties.
Switches languages naturally
Marathi for the older guests, Hindi and English for the rest. Divya moves between them as the moment needs rather than picking one and sticking to it.
A fresh script every time
Every birthday script gets written from scratch after a sit-down with the family. Nothing is reused from a previous event.

Questions Nerul families ask first
Straight answers to the things people actually ask.
Yes. Divya has hosted birthday parties at the Gymkhana lawns and the indoor banquet on a few occasions. She is familiar with how the room sits and where to place the cake table for the photographer.
Nerul birthdays are usually multi-generational. Grandparents, parents, kids, and cousins are all in the same room. Divya keeps the script wide enough that the older guests do not feel like they are sitting through a youth event, and the kids are not bored through the tributes.
She has hosted across Sectors 4, 6, 9, 19, and 27, mostly in society clubhouses and the banquets around the Nerul east side near the station.
Yes. Divya hosts comfortably in Marathi and uses it for the grandparents and older relatives, then moves back to Hindi and English for the rest of the room.
Nerul Gymkhana and the bigger banquets get booked four to six months out for weekend dates. For a clubhouse party, six weeks ahead is usually enough.
