Events That
Tell a Story
A glimpse into the stages Divya has hosted across 7+ years.
Khandeshwar is mostly new societies
and the host has to help the room mix.
When half the guests are still getting to know each other as neighbours, a generic script does not land.
Khandeshwar has grown fast on the back of newer society projects, and most of the birthdays here are held inside the family’s own clubhouse. The buildings are still settling in and the guest list often mixes close family with neighbours who have not really met each other yet. Divya Shah runs the early part of the evening to help the room mix rather than waiting for the families to do it themselves.
The extended family for Khandeshwar parties often comes in from Panvel, Kalamboli, and the older Panvel taluka villages. Divya keeps the script wide enough in Marathi for the older relatives while staying in Hindi and English for the younger guests and neighbours.

Two birthday parties
Divya has hosted in Khandeshwar
A first birthday where the family had only moved into the building eight months earlier.
The parents had moved from Mumbai a year before and most of the neighbours had been polite but distant. The first birthday was the first real chance to bring the building together.
“Divya ran a short round where everyone shared one line about how they had moved into Khandeshwar. It opened the room up.”
By the cake moment the neighbours were chatting like they had known each other for years. The host said it was the only time the building had really felt like a community.
A 50th with the host’s parents travelling in from Pen and Alibaug.
The host’s parents had driven in for the weekend and the rest of the family was a mix of Khandeshwar neighbours and Mumbai-based cousins.
“She ran the tribute section in Marathi for the parents and switched to Hindi for the cake moment so everyone could follow.”
The host’s mother spoke on the mic for the first time at any family event. The cousins later said the script had given her the space to do it.
What she brings to
your family birthday party
A few things that tend to matter most at these events.
Helps a new-society room mix
Khandeshwar guest lists often have neighbours who barely know each other. Divya runs the early part of the evening to break that ice before the cake moment.
Comfortable in Marathi
Khandeshwar families often have older relatives in Panvel and Pen who are Marathi-first. Divya hosts in Marathi for the elders without dropping the rest of the room.
A fresh script every time
Every birthday script gets written from scratch after a sit-down with the family. Nothing is reused from a previous event.

Questions Khandeshwar families ask first
Straight answers to the things people actually ask.
Yes. Khandeshwar is mostly newer society developments and Divya has hosted in several of the clubhouses around the station and the Kalamboli side. She is also happy to travel from her base when a Khandeshwar family books.
A lot of Khandeshwar societies are still settling in and the guest list often includes neighbours from across the building who have not really met. Divya runs a couple of light introduction segments early so the room mixes before the cake.
Yes. Most Khandeshwar clubhouses have basic in-house sound but for anything beyond 80 guests the family is better off with a proper setup. Divya can recommend a local AV technician she works with regularly and the cost is usually reasonable.
No. Divya covers Khandeshwar regularly and the Sion-Panvel highway makes the drive straightforward. There is no extra travel charge for a Navi Mumbai address.
Six to eight weeks ahead is usually enough for a Khandeshwar weekend date. For December and January, book closer to two months out because the clubhouses share dates with weddings.
