Events That
Tell a Story
A glimpse into the stages Divya has hosted across 7+ years.
Mansarovar parties are usually in your own society
and the host has to fit that size of room.
When the venue is the clubhouse you walk past every day, the hosting has to match the closeness of the room.
Mansarovar birthdays are mostly held inside the family’s own society clubhouse. The room is usually 80 to 130 guests and the family knows almost everyone by name. Divya Shah hosts these at a normal speaking volume and skips the loud high-energy routine that suits a larger banquet.
The guest list often includes relatives travelling in from Panvel, Kalamboli, and the older Panvel taluka villages. Divya shares a clear running order with the family in advance so the visiting relatives know what to expect and the evening runs without a scramble.

Two birthday parties
Divya has hosted in Mansarovar
A kids birthday where most of the guests were other kids from the same building.
Around forty children from the society had been invited along with their parents. The clubhouse was full by 6pm and the noise was already at a level.
“Divya ran two short games that needed all the kids to sit down at the same time. That was the only quiet stretch of the evening.”
The cake was cut in under three minutes once the kids were settled. The parents said the running order was the only thing that kept the evening from going off the rails.
A 60th where the family elders were from Panvel and spoke mostly Marathi.
The host’s father had grown up in Old Panvel. Most of his side of the family had come in for the evening and were more comfortable in Marathi than Hindi.
“She did the entire family tribute section in Marathi and brought the older guests into the conversation.”
The father later told the family it was the first time he had felt like a birthday was actually for him. Three of his cousins stayed back after the cake just to talk to Divya about how it had been put together.
What she brings to
your family birthday party
A few things that tend to matter most at these events.
Keeps the room close, not loud
A society clubhouse does not need a host yelling into the mic. Divya hosts at a normal speaking voice and stays close to the family.
Comfortable in Marathi
A lot of Mansarovar families have roots in the Panvel taluka and the older guests are Marathi-first. Divya hosts in Marathi for the elders without making it feel forced.
A fresh script every time
Every birthday script gets written from scratch after a sit-down with the family. Nothing is reused from a previous event.
